Symposium: Mehrwert, designing society

Monday 27 September the Initiative Deutscher Designverbände (iDD) organises a symposium on the value (Mehrwert) that design adds to society. Design Den Haag contributes to the programme with a lecture by Timo de Rijk (curator Norm=Form) on standardisation and design, a tour of the exhibition Norm=Form and an 'after talk' with Ed Annink (intendant The Hague Design and Government edition 2010) and Max Bruinsma (editor in chief of Items Magazine) on the possibilities and opportunities for German-Dutch cooperations in the field of design, entrepeneurship and government. The symposium takes place at the Casino Zollverein, in Essen, Germany. The programme starts at 09.30 h, at 18.30 h the after talk will start.
