Start research project in Berlin

In the context of Design and Government, the 'Stadsridders Den Haag' (City knights Den Haag) are visiting Berlin to research ExRotaprint. This is a place where creative people work together, in an old engine factory, created and developed by designers and artists, without any interference by the government. By interviewing the founders, local government and neighbours, the 'Stadsridders' will try to gain insight in the creation and development process of such a project, the impact it has on the neighbourhood and the way the government deals with it. The interviews will be filmed and will be available soon on this website.
This research project is part of a larger project, entitled 'Creative Commons'. The 'Stadsridders' will research creative 'bottom-up' projects in various European cities. By doing this, they hope to inspire and stimulate developments in Den Haag. The first project they are investigating in Berlin, is being supported by Design Den haag.
