Visit to Istanbul Design Week

The group of Dutch students graphic design from the Royal Academy of Arts The Hague, participating in the workshop Politie-Polis-Carabi..., visited the Istanbul Design Week. None of them had been to Istanbul before. Part of the programme was a visit to the open-air exhibition with the results of the workshop at the Rahmi M. Koç Museum, and a debate on the idea of 'one visual identity for the police in Europe' at the Old Hat Factory Istanbul.

Watch here a video of the trip, made by one of the participating students, Danisha Leliveld.

Despite the death of initiator Ed Annink on 25 September, 2012, the trip to the Istanbul Design Week proceeded. We are thankful to the teachers of the Royal Academy of Arts The Hague and their friends who accompagnied the students last minute: Ada Lopes-Cardozo, Gijsbert Dekker and Bertine Colsen.
