Norm=Form in Leipzig
Dutch-Saxsony symposium on standardisation and design: September 2nd, 2011
On Friday September 2nd, 2011, the Dutch-Saxony symposium 'Norm=Form, über Standardisierung und Design' will take place in Leipzig. Germany has a strong technological identity, the Netherlands is known for its creative abilities. Designers and architects from both countries will illustrate the influence of standardisation on product design, visual communication, architecture and fashion. Critical notes will be made: To what extent are current standards usable in the future? Should some rules be replaced by others in favour of economic ánd cultural innovation?
