Civil servants and designers discuss ideas for The Hague

Civil servants and designers discuss ideas for The Hague

03.06.2010

The project group Aan Tafel (Around the Table) organized 18 conversations between civil servants of the city of The Hague and designers and architects. Together they discussed ideas for a better, prettier, more social, happier, more qualitative and economical The Hague.

In a beautiful setting on the Lange Voorhout in The Hague, while the sun was shining and nice food and drinks were being served, the couples had a good brainstorming session. Surprising ideas and inspiring people from both government and the creative sector sketched their way around the tablecloths. At about 6 PM it was time for interviews and summaries by Marcel Verreck that asked both playful and critical questions alternated with encouraging enthusiasm.

We have heard that follow-up appointments have been made between the creatives and the public representatives. This successful project lays the foundation for a sequel. Many thanks to Glenn Caprino, Aafke Kauffman, Bram van der Meij, Maarten van Bremen, Wendy Hendriksen and Richard Slakhorst.
