Tomorrow’s election campaigns
From poster to tweet
Exhibition
Royal Academy of Art (KABK), The Hague
Thursday 20 May until Friday 4 June
Through the successful application of various digital platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook, Barack Obama proved that he was able to reach enormous amounts of voters during his election campaign. Could this mean that political campaigns will unfold themselves completely differently in future? Is the election poster going to disappear from our streets?
We will definitely still see them in this exhibition: German and Dutch students in visual communication have developed concepts for future election campaigns for GroenLinks (green party), D66 (liberal democrats) and VVD (conservative party).
Marjolein de Jong, the new D66 alderman of Culture will bring the exhibitions ihkv Design and Government at the KABK to a close!
