Symposium 'The styles of Central Government'

Symposium 'The styles of Central Government'

11.03.2010

In cooperation with the interdepartmental project team 1 Logo, Design Den Haag is working on a publication about the visual identity of the Dutch government. The publication gives an overview of all the ministerial visual identities used in the past that will disappear once the 'Rijksbrede logo', the common visual identity for the government, will be implemented. This publication will be presented and distributed during a symposium organised by Project 1 Logo on 4 June 2010. The symposium will feature several international speakers, who will approach the theme ‘Design for the Government’ from various perspectives and at both European and national level. All eyes will be on Germany, where the federal government adopted a common visual identity some time ago, providing an interesting comparison with the Dutch experience. As well as looking to the future, with an award for the best Governmental visual identity product, the symposium will also look back on the many ministerial visual identities used in the past.
