During the debate about unity or diversity for Europe, Paul Hughes made us understand that there is a 'cure' for this discussion. Do not strive for completeness and perfection, but bless the diversity and incompleteness. A thought in the world of product design that has been embraced by designers for many years. Especially by designers who work with crafts and strive for smaller amounts and unique products. Hella Jongerius started it in Netherlands in 2000 with her B-china. A service that should not meet all the requirements of mass production, but is allowed to have flaws. The industry did not understand this, but the consumers did. And this is exactly what the discussion was about yesterday; unity (industry) or diversity (consumer).
