Festive kick-off NL-Ruhr, Oberhausen
01.05.2010
The Netherlands are taking part in RUHR.2010, European Capital of Culture 2010, with about a 100 different activities. These Dutch activities, including the second venue of the exhibition Norm=Form in Essen, are grouped under the name NL-Ruhr.
In the Oberhausen "Bahnhofsturm", a temporarily decorated hotel by Jurgen Bey, opened the NL-Ruhr event. The Dutch and German guests were treated to a performance by Ellen ten Damme and a barbecue at a 24 meter long table. All this took place at a great location between platform 4 and 5 at Hauptbahnhof Oberhausen. For all the Dutch activities during RUHR.2010, including visual arts, theater, dance and music, check the website www.nl-ruhr.de.
