Ed Annink on The Hague Design and Government

Design Den Haag at Items Live
23.06.2010
In our information culture image quotes, icons, symbols and pictograms are the bits and bytes of a visual code. Designers shape codes to create understandable messages; the more recognizable the code in which the designer has used, the more accessible the message.
This is the theme of the new issue of the design magazine Items. On the occasion of the new issue Items presents an evening at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. In the June issue an article can be found on our project 'A new symbol for Europe'. For this occasion Ed Annink gave a presentation on the mission of The Hague Design and Government. Amongst the speakers were Ed van Hinte (Lightness Studios), Janne Kyttanen (Freedom Of Creation) and Marjan Unger.
