Due to the busy schedule of campaign leaders, the debate 'No votes, no party' will be postponed from 2 to 25 June. Exra question will be: how efiicient was you campaign?
Debate No votes, no party
Friday June 25, a debate will take place at the Museum voor Communicatie, about the campaigning of political parties in the Netherlands. This debate is organized within the framework of the exhibition 'The voter seduced?', about election posters in the Netherlands and Germany from 1981 up to now.
Political parties need voters. No vote no party. In our democratic system political parties compete with different ideals for the voters favour. How do you make these ideals visible and accessible for the voter so he or she knows what you stand for?
During the debate the focus is on the campaigning of political parties. What campaign was successful. What campaign showed a new political leader? Examples of successful campaigns are discussed, but also opportunistic and badly informed campaigns.
